Parent Partners Plus, operated by Southwest Human Development with support from First Things First, is dedicated to supporting families throughout Maricopa County by providing referrals to home-based parenting and child development programs.
All programs are offered at no cost to families and provide support for pregnant women and new parents, as well as families with children under 5 years old.
Their programs offer support to families by providing:
Child development screenings
Individualized referrals to community resources.
School readiness activities to promote healthy development for young children.
The majority of program services are offered by trained home visitors in the family's own home and parents can also participate in social activities offered by the programs.
The Parent Partners Plus network consists of 11 partner programs including Early Head Start, Family Support Coordination, Fussy Baby, Health Start, Healthy Families Arizona, South Phoenix Healthy Start, Newborn Intensive Care Program, Nurse-Family Partnership, Parents as Teachers, Smooth Way Home and The Wonder Years.
